On 6th June 2004, Bresmar United Football (BUFC) was formed with a capacity of 73 players headed by Evans Maladi.

 

Eventually the team was streamlined and picked players to form the amateur team. The team played in the amateur league in 2004 and 2005. Its outstanding performance saw the team promoted to Division Two in 2006. The team played for five years in Division two and finally qualified to play in the Division One league in 2011.

 

Northwestern Province for ten years before 2011 had not produced a division one side. It was a very exciting year for the team and for Northwestern Province as well. This meant that at least now they have the privilege of watching division one football. In terms of sports, the province was showing signs of improved standards in football and as Bresmar Investment Ltd we are proud to have played a big role in this.The team has been able to sponsor most of its players to get back to school or continue their education. For some they have been sponsored through college and have since left for greener pastures.

 

BUFC has produced good players which premier teams have admired and have negotiated for the players to play for them. To ensure that we played quality football Bresmar Investment Ltd endeavored to train its coaches and keep them abreast with all the new standards of football. In 2012 BUFC was one if not the only team that had a qualified coach to coach a division one side. To do this one needed to have a CAP C license.

BUFC has been a challenge to the many teams that have sprang to compete with the team. The team provides a good platform for entertainment and sport. It has also helped the youths realize their career in football.
